CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
We have several requests for volunteers to work with K-12 students around the Detroit metro area.  There are opportunities for you to
– visit a school to tell the youth about what an engineer does
– be an Advisor to a NSBE Jr Chapter
– be a Mentor to a F.I.R.S.T. robotics club
– take a NSBE Jr Chapter on a tour of your workplace
Please contact Will Hill at nsbedetroitpcichair@gmail.com or at (336) 500-3332 for more information
CHILDREN LOOKING FOR S.T.E.M. ACTIVITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS
If you know of a K-12 student who is looking for S.T.E.M. activities, organizations, and resources, please contact Will Hill at nsbedetroitpcichair@gmail.com or at (336) 500-3332 for more information.
WHAT IS A NSBE Jr. CHAPTER?
NSBE Jr Chapters consist of a minimum of five  K-12 students and an Advisor who is a NSBE Professionals Chapter Member.  These students learn how to self-govern by serving in leadership roles and deciding on the activities they want to accomplish for themselves and their membership throughout the school year.  NSBE Jr. Chapters can also become a F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Club (www.firstinspires.org).  There are no restrictions as to what the NSBE Jr. Chapter can participate in.  They can do community service, do fundraising, go on college tours, learn from NSBE Professionals members, go on factory tours, and attend NSBE Regional & National Conferences to receive professional development workshops.   If you want to know what is a NSBE Jr chapter, want to create one, or learn how to operate one,  please contact Will Hill at nsbedetroitpcichair@gmail.com or at (336) 500-3332 for more information.

Thank You to all who attended the NSBE Jr. Workshop!
