This year’s Region IV FRC will be held from October 26-28, 2018 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. This conference will utilize the many different resources the society holds in order to instill the pillars of the organization into the membership. (Professional development, academic excellence, and community impact). Through activities designed specifically to engage and enhance the membership, FRC will provide its attendees unique opportunities and tools in order to succeed in professionalism and academia. As part of our Chair’s Directives this FRC we will be working on Improving the Membership Experience and Increasing Exposure by focusing in on engaging the regional NSBE Jr. and Collegiate membership. We will also be looking to increase our regional exposure by increasing our engagement within the local community. With the class of 2025 currently in their sophomore year of high school, it is imperative that we are increasing engineering enrollment though STEM exposure while retaining current engineering students.
I encourage our attendance to utilize all the resources this convention has to offer. I also encourage all to reach out of their comfort zone and network across chapters and membership classification barriers.
On behalf of Region IV, I would also like to thank the city of Cleveland in advance for hosting us on one of the greatest FRC’s in Region IV’s History! I am looking forward to seeing you all at FRC.
Fo’ Solid!
