Dear NSBE Members,

NSBE’s National Executive Board appreciates your patience as we work through the next steps for NSBE’s 46th Annual Convention. After a comprehensive review of the information available from experts on COVID-19, and after receiving your feedback, the board has decided to move forward with #NSBE46 on August 19–23, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas, at the Henry B. González Convention Center. NSBE will also hold a virtual career fair in April for our members, so you will have the opportunity to connect with recruiters, secure interviews and pursue internships and full-time positions.

These decisions were made during an emergency meeting of the board last night, Sunday, March 15, 2020. Please stay tuned for the date of the virtual career fair as we finalize details and logistics.

#NSBE46 will be our Society’s first Annual Convention held outside of the spring. Despite the challenges presented by the current global crisis, this is a major opportunity for NSBE to hold our first-ever convention at the beginning of the career recruitment season.

NSBE’s convention housing contractor, Conference Direct, and the convention hotels will automatically cancel your current reservations in their systems, and all cancellation fees will be waived. Any cancellation fees collected since the date of the convention postponement, March 6, 2020, will be refunded. If you have questions or if you have already cancelled your reservation, reach out to Conference Direct at NSBE46registration@conferencedirect.com.

Any attendee who is unable to attend #NSBE46 on the new dates and who notified NSBE after March 6, 2020 is entitled to either a full credit or a full refund. For more information, please go to:

Any cancellation requests received after April 16, 2020 will be eligible for a full credit that can be used only toward a future NSBE conference or convention.

NSBE will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 leading up to #NSBE46 and will keep you informed, as the health and safety of our members and stakeholders are our top priorities. We will follow-up soon with more information.

We truly wish everyone the best possible outcome during this pandemic.

Sincerely,
